Information
Welcome to Tasmania....
The Budgerigar Council of Tasmania invites all
Budgerigar breeders/exhibitors/visitors and guests to
the 2009 Australian National Championship Show which is
to be staged in Burnie from 22 – 28 May 2009.
Burnie situated on the coastline of Bass Strait is
Tasmania’s third largest city and located on the
beautiful North West Coast. The theme for the 2009
National Show is based on the endangered Tasmanian
Devil, hence the theme ‘Be a Devil in 2009 and come to
Tasmania.’
Planning has gone extremely well with the many events
well supported with a large number of registrations
being received. Excitement is now building with the
show this coming weekend! Registrations are
now closed.
For those people not joining us in Burnie you can still
be part of the National 2009 action by visiting the "Live
Results Feed" this weekend where we will
post the results of each class as they are judged and
the full National 2009 Show Results Booklet will be
available for download shortly after the completion of
judging on the Sunday.
The auction and sale information is now on this website
(see the links down the right-hand side). You will see
some gaps where the details have not yet been received
as Alistair will be posting this as it comes in. The
Auction birds will be on display on Saturday and the
auction will be held on Saturday afternoon. The sale
birds will be on display on Sunday and the sale will be
that afternoon. For further information and details re

The month of May in Tasmania is cool, so come prepared
for all seasons while visiting our ‘Treasure Island.’
